Benzoin Resin 

Benzoin is the sap (gum resin) that comes from cuts in the trunk of trees that belong to the Styrax family. Benzoin is used commonly in churches due to their purification and prosperity benefits.

What Are Its Uses?

Medically, it is used as a sedative and acts as an effective remedy against congestion and eliminates stagnation. The fragrance offers pleasing warmth to the heart and increases blood circulation. Benzoin is used on the skin for ulcers, bed sores (pressure ulcers), cracked skin, and many other conditions.

Usage: 

Set a charcoal tablet in a contained on a bed of sand and light the tablet. Slowly fan or blow on the tablet. Only after the charcoal is a glow and stops crackling put the resin incense of the top. Use a knife, spoon or tweezers to drop the resin incense onto the tablet. Set aside enough time so that you can enjoy the ritual of incense burning. When selecting a location, make sure there are no combustible objects nearby.
