Murugan (முருகன்) is a prominent Hindu deity known as the "Tamil Kadavul" (God of Tamils), signifying beauty, youth, war, and victory. Derived from the Tamil word Murugu (meaning beauty), he is the son of Shiva and Parvati, often worshipped as the commander of the gods and the guardian of the mountainous Kurinji region.
